Utilizing Pershing Square in Downtown Los Angeles, Oculus Arbor was designed in Rhino through Grasshopper with parametric calulations to create a high-rise with percentages of the structure to be utilized as commercial space, a public plaza, and housing units. Parameters such as sound, circulation, and the environment were taken into consideration throughout the design process. We also took the liberty of incorporating our solution to reclaim nature and to provide a viable method to remove air pollution within the “concrete jungle” of Los Angeles through the use of an ecological skin of vines.
